Here's some background on Renewable Hydrogen:

RH2 is a simple solution for post-fossil fuel world. 
Hydrogen, the most abundant element in the universe, has great potential as an energy source. It is also nonpolluting. Unlike fossil fuel, it can be easily generated from renewable energy sources.

It's true the locals did defeat the casino development. I wrote this story a while back about alternatives to casinos:

Recently, one of our volunteers asked about our plan to serve some meat-based dishes as part of our buffet-style menu. Her question was basically: if we care about the planet and climate change, shouldn't we be serving vegetarian food?

As most visitors to this website will be aware, the APGN 2010 Congress will be held at the Tien-mou Conference Centre, located in the leafy northern Taipei suburb of Tien-mou and close to the Yangmingshan National Park and adjacent hot springs areas. The Economist: Trading down

Carbon emission calculation based on demand analysis.

One has to notice that the article failed to take into account the history of capitalism, i.e. a large amount of carbon had already been emitted in the past by the so called developed countries today.

It's really a matter of production, rather than trade.
